Started Dogs

Our Kennel occasionally has a started/finished dog for sale, and we are always willing to take orders for a started/finished dog out of a specific breeding or upcoming litter. Many questions/concerns can arise about purchasing a started/finished dog. Our Kennel will attempt to answer any and all questions you may have. The following may address some of those questions.

1.) Pricing: Our pricing structure for started/finished dogs are our Rookie, Junior and Professional programs. All pricing below includes all costs our Kennel may encounter while your dog is with us (including but not limited to puppy price, food, veterinary expenses and birds). The price does not include shipping or transportation costs that the owner may encounter if he/she is not able to physically pick up his/her dog when the dog is ready to go home. (See Shipping.)

Rookie 6-9 months of age ($1,500): Basic obedience, introduction to birds, start retrieving drills. The dog will be ready to finish and fine tune his/her hunting skills under your direction.

Junior 12-18 months of age ($3,000): Rookie skills enhanced. In summary, the dog will be able to hunt with you, and generally will be prepared to compete for his/her Jr. Hunter title or Certified Pointing Labrador title.

Professional 12-24 months of age ($5,000): All of the above skills are enhanced and the dog will have either his Jr. Hunter title and/or Certified Pointing Labrador title prior to pick up.

2.) Deposit: The deposit for any of our three pricing structures is the full puppy price that our Kennel is charging. If you are getting a Rookie, the remaining balance is due at the time the dog is picked up. If you are getting a Junior dog, at 6 months of age a total of $1,500 must be paid and the remaining balance is due at the time the dog is picked up. If you are getting a Professional dog, at 6 months of age a total of $1,500 must be paid, at 12 months of age a total of $3,000 must be paid, and the remaining balance is due at the time the dog is picked up.
